In his second at-bat of the day (and of the season), Bartolo Colon fouls off a pitch against the Mets’ Dillon Gee in the top of the fifth inning of the July 2nd Subway Series game at Citi Field. Bravo Bartolo! Yankees starting pitcher Bartolo Colon pounds his glove as he heads off the field after 8 shutout innings against Oakland. He’d pitch a complete game shutout, the first by a Yankee since May 8, 2009 and first Yankee shutout of the 2011 season. The Yankees beat Oakland 5-0 on Memorial Day at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum (by Amanda Rykoff).
